How long is CBD oil good for
CBD oil expiry date - how long can it be used
Many people ask how long CBD oil can be used and how to store it correctly.
Everyone wants to have access to a good quality product, which is why (in my opinion, one of the best CBD oils) Medihem is marketed.
A test report, lab results are available for all products.
These products are made from high quality, strictly controlled (AT-BIO-301) raw material and full spectrum extracts (2.5%, 5%, 10%, 18% concentrations) blended with hemp oil containing Cannabinoid and other ingredients (CBD,CBG,CBN, CBV, terpenes, phenols) extracted by a gentle (CO2-Extraction method) process.
CBD is usually diluted with hemp oil for better (more accurate) dosing.
Why hemp oil?
Hemp oil contains components that are valuable to the body, it is beneficial for heart function.
Hemp oil is obtained by pressing hemp seeds. Hempseed oil contains sources of healthy fatty acids (omega 3 and omega 6, gamma-linolenic acid), essential protein and minerals (vitamin E, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, calcium, iron, zinc).
The CBD oil extracted from the hemp (cannabis) plant, containing the valuable cannabinoid active ingredients, is sealed in an airtight, light-proof dark brown jar during production thanks to modern technology. Studies have shown that they have a shelf life of 2 years from the time of bottling.
CBD is a highly persistent (static) compound. It does not lose its quality and potency over time under proper storage conditions (protected from heat, moisture and light).
When the two years (shelf life) are up, what happens to the CBD oil?
Hemp seed oil (like all vegetable oils) will expire. After opening, it changes its taste when exposed to air, heat and light. If stored in heat (in a dark, cool place), it will keep its fresh taste longer.
If stored in a car, for example, it will expire within the expiry date (not yet two years), but excessive heat will cause the product to "spoil" (due to the hemp oil) and the taste will become rancid.
If stored properly, it can be consumed beyond the expiry date. The degree of rancidity determines the unpleasant taste.
The taste:
It is important to note that during the cultivation of the hemp plant,
the soil,
the amount of nutrients,
the effect of sunlight can cause the extracted CBD to vary in taste.
Thus, no two CBD oils produced at the same time will taste the same.
Different brands of CBD oils can also vary in taste due to the technology used in their production.
